Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance aligned with ESG principles.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive positive environmental outcomes.
  • Contribute to the organization's financial and operational success.

Qualifications:

    Candidates are preferably based within Queensland’s mining regions (this requirement is flexible for exceptional candidates). We strive for diversity within our Boards and encourage all qualified and committed candidates to apply.
  • Experience working in the resources sector in one or more of the six ecosystem collaborator groups (refer enviroMETS stakeholder landscape)
  • A broad network across multiple collaborator groups
  • Track record in innovative and entrepreneurial implementation
  • Comfort in communicating and engaging with community groups, government and non-government agencies and other stakeholders
  • Previous board experience in public and not-for-profit organisations
  • Previous investment or land use development experience (desirable but not necessary).

Commitment:

    • Time: We anticipate the role will involve around 10 days a year for board meetings, strategy sessions, and other events.
    • Remuneration: Board fees commensurate with skills and experience.
    • Costs: All out of pocket expenses, travel etc is covered.
